Abstract

Generalization. A study was conducted to study anti-inflammatory (IL-4) and pro-inflammatory (IL-1β, IL-6, IFNγ, TNFα) cytokine levels in 28 women with physiological pregnancy in the third trimester and 23 women with primigravida. found that during the prenatal period, IL-1β and IL-8 levels increased sharply and IL-4 levels decreased sharply. IL-6 and TNFα levels were also slightly elevated. Therefore, it is of great importance to study the levels of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines in women giving birth during rational pregnancy, since it is this mechanism that changes cytokine levels during the onset of labor that is observed pathologically.
