Abstract

This article provides a detailed insight on the topic of polyethylene, a polymer widely utilized in the plastics industry. The exploration begins with an overview of the history of polyethylene, tracing its development and commercialization. The chemical composition of polyethylene is then dissected, focusing on the distinct properties of Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), and Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE). Comparative results of these variations are discussed in terms of flexibility, rigidity, and applications. The article emphasizes the importance of understanding polyethylene's chemical structure in optimizing its use across diverse industries.
