Abstract

An Idiom is a phrase whose meaning cannot be understood from the literal meanings of the words that make it up . Idioms are often used in everyday speech and writing to add color or emphases to the speech.Its better to start to learn idioms from fourth and fifth grade in school because its good level to identify and explain the meaning of idioms .The problem in this research is comparing idioms related to friendship in Karakalpak and English languages .The design of this reasearch work comparing idioms through analysing English and Karakalpak idioms from the literature books.
