ABSTRACT In the Republic of Uzbekistan, the technology of separation of copper, zinc and vanadium from the used catalysts was developed in the joint-stock company "Maksam-Chirchik" and the joint-stock company "Fargonazot". Methods for extracting copper from mixed oxide catalyst components are based on dissolution in mineral acids, followed by precipitation or by displacing copper with more active elements in the activity series. When dissolving the spent NTK-4U in nitric acid with a concentration of 30 wt. %, with boiling for 4 hours, more than 90% of copper is extracted into the solution. Zinc is extracted on average 6.8%, chromium-5%, aluminum - 14% by weight, which is part of the catalyst.
