The article presents the problems and tasks of using modern information and communication technologies in the process of self-education. The use of information and communication technologies in self-education is a powerful tool for creating optimal working conditions for obtaining knowledge and skills, but it should be expedient and methodically justified. information and communication technologies should be used only when this use gives an undeniable pedagogical effect.
